Machinery & Equipment
I use a Long-arm Gammill Classic Plus quilting machine for all my quilting services. My machine is equipped with a 12ft frame and table which makes it easier to produce every sized quilt from cot to king. I offer a fast two-week turn-around on all of my edge to edge quilts and all are made in a totally smoke-free environment.
Materials
I stock a range of Matilda’s Own wadding.
Wadding is available in the following:
80% Cotton / 20% Poly
60% Wool / 40% Poly
100% Cotton
100% Polyester
100% Bamboo
Edge to Edge (Pantograph)
Edge to Edge (also known as Pantograph) is a continuous line design that is worked from one edge of the quilt to the other end and repeated from the top of the quilt to the bottom. I have a large range of edge to edge patterns to perfectly complement your quilt top, some of which you can view here.
Custom Designs
My custom quilting is individually designed to enhance your quilt top, using a wide range of quilting techniques. These include free motion quilting, block patterns, ruler work and stitch in the ditch.
Quilt Preparation (for Long Arm Quilting)
When supplying your own backing and/or batting, please ensure they are kept as separate pieces and not basted.
Backing and batting needs to be at least four inches larger than your quilt top. This is to allow for loading of your quilt onto the frame and natural shrinkage which happens when quilting.
Please do not add anything extra to your quilt top, for example beads and buttons, until your quilt top has been quilted.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
If you are unable to visit, I can generally arrange a drop-off point close to where you are located to save you the time and money that it may take to get your quilts to me.
